What is the relationship between olivine and serpentine

Olivine includes forsterite iron olivine series. Serpentine and olivine are classified into two different minerals without inclusion relationship.

Forsterite and serpentine come from different rock types: forsterite, as the main rock forming mineral, mainly comes from ultrabasic and basic rocks in magmatic rocks; Serpentine mainly comes from ultrabasic rocks and metamorphic rocks formed after alteration of basic rocks.

Their only connection should be that serpentine is mostly altered by olivine heated liquid, so their composition will be very similar, but they still belong to two different minerals. There is no saying that forsterite contains serpentine.
